My Opinion About GoldenHardcore:
Anyone into the golden heyday of porn will appreciate what Golden Hardcore is all about. Big hair, big boobs, big stars and big movies is what you'll discover here, or so they tell us.
When I arrive inside the members' area, I realize I've reached the Pornstar Network, and along with some Golden Hardcore, we get access to four solo model sites, some kinky fare out of AssSmoothies, and other hardcore themes from sites like SwirlieGirls, OnlyTheBiggest, and another 13 exclusive sites. Once you click the GoldenHardcore.com link, you'll uncover exactly 64 titles as promised. All the episodes are titled with the name of the star (male or female) and I was a little disappointed that the site also didn't provide the actual movie title that each scene was ripped from. There's plenty of John Holmes, and you get to see blonde bimbo Houston get fucked in a threesome, although she did once do a 500-guy gangbang. Vanessa del Rio, a much younger Nina Hartley, and even Ron Jeremy make their appearances, too.
Scenes are 14 to 30 minutes, and while there are different qualities, the best are the 2390kbps 640x480 Windows Media Videos. There are no parts, so you can download the films in one smooth go. Despite that the majority of films are from the 1970s, the resolution is surprisingly excellent. If the hairstyles, clothes and furniture weren't so dated, you'd think these were brand new flicks. You can expect a lot of different hardcore from dudes with monster dicks and chicks with big, bouncy tits. There are lesbian scenes, blowjobs, threesomes and straight couples' action. This was an era where directors were actually directors and took their porn a bit more serious and creatively than some amateur sites today that simply place a camera on a tripod and shoot a scene. A film I watched began with an underwater scene and then moved to the action. I kind of wanted to see the complete film, because I imagine it was scripted. However, at least in this movie, only the sex was shown. Still, the quality was impressive.
There are also photosets for the movies. I thought they may have been stills shot during the filming, but they're merely 640x480 video grabs. They give you a good enough indication of what can be found in a film, but they really aren't worth the time, in my opinion. I'd rather see some high-quality stills of these stars.
Obviously, these films have been recycled around through video stores for at least three decades, so you may have seen some of these scenes before. However, this isn't the problem with the site.
Final Verdict:
Golden Hardcore isn't a bad site, especially if you love top-quality old-time porno flicks and once-upon-a-time stars and legends. However, I did have a problem with not getting a full movie title, and this I mean literally. It's great that John Holmes was in a movie, but what was the damn thing called, who starred in it with him, who directed it, and where is the rest of the film? Enquiring minds want to know.
